Junior Lifeguard Club:
Are you ready for a challenge beyond regular swim lessons? The Junior Lifeguard Club (JLC) is designed for quick learners who have been accelerating through swimming lessons and are eager to learn lifesaving skills and the fundamentals of lifesaving sport.
This 6-week program offers a unique aquatic alternative to traditional test-sheet-based aquatic programs and is independent of traditional award progressions.
JLC provides the participants with challenges that are more focused on improving the performance of the participant with regard to abilities as opposed to checking a box.

• January 10 - February 28 (no session on February 7 or 21)
• Ages 8-15 *Participants must be at least at Swimmer 4 level or able to complete the Swim to Survive Standard (60s treading water, 50m swim without touching the bottom, and disoriented entry such as a roll into the water). Comfort in the deep end is also required.
Please Note: This is taught by specialized instructors, made possible by the Regional Grant Program.
