November Perk Partner: Offline Board Game Cafe

Offline is the place where fun and quality time are the main priority!

Throughout November, CGAC members can enjoy a buy one, get one free deal on cover charges at Offline. Bring a friend, unwind, and enjoy board games together!

Simply show proof of membership (card or phone dot) to the cashier to receive the perk. They are located at 212 McAllister Dr., Unit 120 (same side as Cora's and directly across the street from Bulk Barn).

Our Fall #2 2024 Fitness Schedule is running until December 22.

November Pool Activity and Changes: 

  • Weekend of Nov 2-3 – Waterpolo Tournament…
    • Saturday (10am-2pm) – Deep end in competition pool unavailable; bulkhead will be pushed early at 9:30am.
    • Sunday (8am-2pm) – Deep end in competition pool unavailable, and limited space in competition pool overall from 8am-11:15am.
  • Friday, Nov 8 (4pm-8pm)… Limited space available. 
  • Weekend of Nov 9-11 – Artistic Swimming Event…
    • Limited space in competition pool Saturday (10am-2pm), Sunday (11am-2pm), and Monday (12pm-3pm).
  • Friday, Nov 15 – 10am-1pm… Deep end in competition pool unavailable.
  • Weekend of Nov 23-24 – Cadets Event and Swim Meet…
    • Saturday – No scheduled Fun Swim; short course all day and deep end in competition pool unavailable.
    • Sunday – No scheduled Fun Swim; deep end in competition pool unavailable (10am-3pm).

Reminder… The leisure pools will be unavailable on Saturdays from 8am-10am until Nov 16, as the S.W.A.M. program will be running to provide swimming instruction to children with disabilities.

Swimming Lessons:

We're offering our 5-week mini session of swimming lessons starting in November! The lessons schedule is available on our website.

Registration Dates:
Family Inclusive Members - Monday, November 4
All Members - Tuesday, November 5
Public - Wednesday, November 6

  • Family Inclusive memberships include regular swimming lessons for the whole family; however, registration is still required.

  • Regular members save 10% on regular swimming lessons (booked at Front Desk).

Sign up online, book in-person at our Front Desk, or call us at 506-658-4715. Advanced sign-up is required.

 

Pool Availability during Lessons: 

The next session of lessons begins Saturday, Nov 16, so it will be a busy time in the pools.

Members will have access during regular hours; however, please note lap lanes will be limited during lesson times. Lessons run Mondays (4:30pm-8pm), Wednesdays (4:30pm-7pm), Thursdays (4:15pm-8pm), Saturdays (9am-2pm), and Sundays (9am-2pm).

For regular drop-ins, the pool area and amenities will be available during the following times only:

  • Mon... 6am-2pm and 6:30pm-8pm
  • Tues... 6am-2pm and leisure pools available from 4pm-8pm; competition pools available from 6pm-8pm
  • Weds... 6am-2pm and 6:30pm-8pm
  • Thurs... 6am-2pm and 6:30pm-8pm
  • Fri… available during regular hours; no lessons
  • Sat… 7am-9am and 2pm-4pm
  • Sun… 7am-9am and 12pm-4pm

Remembrance Day:

Remembrance Day is Monday, November 11, and we will be open our holiday hours (12:00pm-3:00pm). 

Veterans and current serving military members will receive free admission into our facility on this day.

National Lifeguard Instructor Course:

Saturday, November 16, and Sunday, November 17 (9:00pm-5:00pm, both days)

Swim Instructor Course:

• Friday, November 29... 4:00pm-8:00pm

• Saturday, November 30... 9:30am-4:30pm

• Sunday, December 1... 9:30am-4:30pm

 *Participants who complete the swim instructor course and go on to teach at the Canada Games Aquatic Centre will have their course fee reimbursed.

We are selling Kiwanis calendars at our Front Desk for $20. Sales will help support the Aquatic Centre’s  Community Access Program.

World Acupuncture Day:

In recognition of World Acupuncture Day, our acupuncturist and certified AcuGraph practitioner, Matt Wills, will be offering complimentary AcuGraph screenings in the Aquatic Centre lobby on Tuesday, November 12, from 10:00am to 12:00pm.

According to acupuncture theory, energy imbalances or blockages in the acupuncture meridians may lead to health problems, pain, and disease. A quick AcuGraph screening exam can provide insight into your meridian imbalances and how they may impact your overall health.

This is a drop-in screening, no registration required.

 

Progressive 50/50 Draw:

Visit our Front Desk by 10:00am on Friday, November 29, to get your numbers! All proceeds go to support the Aquatic Centre's Community Access Program.

Ongoing Window Project:

As previously mentioned, our ongoing window project will involve work in some public areas of our facility.

The accessible changing room behind the 'Adult' hot tub is temporarily closed to allow necessary work to be completed. It is estimated to reopen later this month.

We appreciate your understanding and patience as we make these improvements.
